The Patrick Henry Hays Senior Citizen Center opened in 2003 and doubled its size in 2007. The nearly 60,000 sf center focuses on meeting the needs of active seniors by emphasizing fitness of the body and mind. The center was constructed in 2 phases. The first phase included a walking track, indoor pool, full exercise equipment, numerous activity rooms and a 5,000sf dividable ballroom which serves as a multipurpose venue for dance classes, parties, receptions and other events.  The addition in phase 2 added 20,650 sf to the existing center and incorporated a second indoor pool, several activity and aerobic rooms, computer room, and 4 full locker rooms.  With both phases complete the center is now equipped to meet the needs of its thousands of members.
