Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality
ADEQ’s mission to protect, enhance, and restore the environment for the well being of all Arkansans is further exemplified through their new 100, 500 SF office building. The purpose of this project was to consolidate all departments under one roof to improve operational efficiency and demonstrate sustainable design concepts to tax payers. Recognized for water conserving features and minimization of air emissions and ozone depletion the project was designed to accommodate environmental testing labs and administration offices to monitor air and water quality in the state of Arkansas. Upon completion the building was Arkansas’s first state office building to achieve LEED and Green Globe certification. This project was a joint venture between TAGGART/Architects and Williams & Dean
