The Inspiration
I love the combination of art and science – vibrant creative process with hardcore technology. My favorite part is seeing something go from a sketch on a napkin to an actual, physical thing that can be appreciated and experienced by others.
The Education
Bachelor of Architecture, University of Arkansas School of Architecture; LEED Accredited Professional, Building Design and Construction
American Institute of Architects
The Work
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I enjoyed architecture school and the cultivation of design, but love the actual practice of architecture. I have always worked at Taggart Architects. One of my fondest times while at Taggart was the five years I lived behind Jerry and Kelly Currence in their garage apartment. That history symbolizes the nature of the firm: we are all family. I was mentored under some great architects that have taught me integrity, fairness and a “work hard to get it done” mentality. Another highlight was becoming partner with the firm. My dedication to the firm, work toward incorporating new technology and strengthening client relationships are all things I hold as paramount values. I expect the remainder of my years at Taggart / Architects to be as productive and enjoyable as the first half has been (I will save a spot in my garage apartment for the next generation).
